I had some unforgettable memories from this past time I went. I had a blast and the best birthday party I have ever had. It's cheaper to go here than the movies some times.ġ0/10 would totally bring my whole family back and plan on it for next year. The price seems like a lot but when you figure out its maybe 40-50$ for a 3 hour event and get to watch entertainment you really can't beat that. The food is good and the entertainment is awesome. My mom who never went had a great time as well. My Dad who tends to not like public events and stuff had a blast and was screaming at our knight to do better. Almost no one in my group has been before. I went here for my 30th birthday with my parents who have never been, my girlfriend, my 3 sisters, 2 of there husbands and my nephew. My boyfriend and I had a great time! Briana 3 years agoįood is always excellent just show is so long could be cut in half Todd 3 years ago Lots of fun! Food was good Daniel 3 years ago Based on the ticket price, i would expect a better quality dessert. It looks like the majority of patrons didn't eat it. We were disappointed with the dessert as it was not fresh. My daughter chose the vegetarian meal and really enjoyed it The hummus was delicious. ![]() Also, check out the super-powered hand dryers in the restrooms.Great time for adults and kids alike!! Viola 11 months ago The staff works hard to put on a great, fun show for all. Go, cheer on your knight and have a good time, but don't bother visiting if you just want to make fun of the hokiness of it all. As for the knighting ceremony before the dinner, I noticed one kid being knighted and it was announced she had done well at a dance competition, so that might be fun as a celebratory thing, but not really worth the extra cost for most. I wouldn't recommend shelling out the extra bucks for the special seating packages. The actors do a good job entertaining the audience. You can leave a tip or not, but it does seem expected and a little awkward. The servers let you know that tips aren't included in your entry price, so they give you the opportunity to leave one by placing a little plastic tray on the table by each party. We overheard servers in other areas offering Siera Mist and I though I saw some coffee (which was listed as an option) on the "bill of fare" on the napkin, but we were not offered either of these. We had our choice between Pepsi and tea (with one refill) to drink. We had tomato bisque soup, garlic bread, half a roasted chicken, one rib and an apple turnover. Remember that no utensils are provided, but you do get wet hand wipes between the meal and dessert, so that helps. The dinner and show lasted about two hours. The lobby area includes lots of shopping opportunities for souveniers as well as two bars that feature several options for collector steins, pilsner, hurricane and even knight head glasses and mugs. We got there early, so we paid the $2 per person to walk through the torture museum. The color of the crowns let us know where our seating area was and what knight to cheer. Upon arrival, we checked in and were given our paper crowns. We saved quite a bit using an online code from the place's own Web site. Before you go, be sure to check online for discounts. ![]() My husband and I visited Medieval Times for the first time last weekend.

![]() The latter of which is excellently scored by John Williams and features top notch choreography. The pod race, a souped up extension to Return of the Jedi's speed-biker pursuits, is one of the series' highlights, as is the showdown between Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Darth Maul (Ray Park), a superbly cool villain with an even cooler double ended light sabre. So yes, full of flaws (many others exist for different people of course), but the whizz bangery of the action and set pieces keep it, to my mind, far away from stinker status. While of course the writing is borderline tepid, full of a need to explain things and prove itself as a reason to exist. Lucas? Really?), close to the knuckle racial stereotyping and the absence of a Hans Solo type to stir the blood of both sexes. Their argument was that free of hype and expectation, "Menace" can really be enjoyed as a sort of popcorn and beer sci-fi blockbuster. After the prequel trilogy had run its course, I was often asked by some film loving friends to give "Menace" another go. So whilst I wasn't one of the "fans" who at the time accused Lucas of ruining childhood memories, I was suitably annoyed to stay away from the film for over ten years. ![]() On a personal note, I was one of the fans who came out of the cinema after watching it the first time and hated it. Mistakes were made, for sure, but for action and intrigue the film scores points well enough. It's not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a fun movie experience, and in retrospect it can be said that Lucas and co learnt from the film to make the next two film's in the series better. But that's not to say the film deserved such rich financial rewards, because all told it didn't. That the film in box office receipts alone made almost $930 million, has, tended to be forgotten. Perhaps unsurprisingly? The Phantom Menace failed to meet the expectation of Star Wars fans and critics alike. The most anticipated movie of all time arrived in 1999, hyped into the stratosphere, the fanfare and bunting stretched from Hollywood to the far corners of the cinema loving world. Talk about a talent or experience you’ve had (one that is related to what you’re auditioning for is a plus, but not necessary). Instead of starting the conversation by rattling off your resume credits, your acting career and your background, introduce yourself by the hobby you enjoy, such as sculpting, painting, dancing etc. Introducing yourself through a hobby is a great way to let the casting team get to know you. Casting sees a lot of auditions, so don’t just try to tell them what you think they want to hear, tell them what you want to tell them. When you're interviewing them, ask them the questions that you feel are. Equinox: Pros & Consĭespite what you might think, luxury gyms such as Equinox are not perfect. Because the amenities at Equinox vary so much by location, I recommend calling or dropping in if you have questions about what’s available at a club near you. It’s important to remember that this review is based on my experience at the Paramus, NJ location. If I lived in NYC or another big city, I would probably feel differently about joining. They tend to have more amenities such as pools, rock climbing walls, and basketball courts that you can’t always find in the suburban locations. However, I have heard different things about other Equinox locations, particularly some of the ones in New York City and other big cities. For the number of amenities the Paramus location offers, I don’t think the cost is justifiable. Other than the showers and locker rooms, I just didn’t think it was any better than some other less expensive chain gyms. I wouldn’t purchase an Equinox membership, but it’s not because I had a bad experience or because it has terrible equipment. I can see this being annoying if you have to go up and down the stairs multiple times during your workout to access different machines - though, to be fair, you are at the gym to work out and move your body, so that’s not necessarily a bad thing! The Paramus location had cardio and resistance machines set up on both floors since there’s not enough space to include everything on one floor. There were no dedicated areas for strength training and cardio like I’ve seen at some other gyms. The space is long and narrow, so it’s easy to feel cramped. ![]() The gym is attached to another store, and Equinox didn’t have much room to expand when it was built. ![]() I think this is mostly due to the location itself. While I was working out, I sometimes felt like I was getting in the way of some of the trainers who were working with their clients at the time. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s not my style. The other members seemed to have expensive taste and were very trendy. I didn’t have any negative encounters with the members, but I felt a little out of place while I was there. Most members were at least in their 30s, which makes sense since college students or young professionals probably can’t afford a membership. Brand image also seems very important to Equinox as a whole, so I’m confident the staff would do their best to not have anyone tarnish their reputation. There are trainers walking around the gym floor all the time, so I’m sure they’d say something if they noticed anybody engaging in inappropriate behavior. I didn’t notice the staff having to police the members too much, but at gyms like Equinox, I’ve found that the members tend to be more mature and respectful. She wasn’t overly aggressive about getting me to sign up for a membership when I was at the club, but Equinox has been contacting me via email and text almost every day since I visited. When I checked in at the front desk, the woman who helped me was friendly and informative. It felt like a spa that added some gym equipment as an afterthought. The lobby has high-end marble and bamboo finishes and it definitely didn’t feel like a gym at first. I wasn’t sure I was in the right place when I first walked into Equinox.
![]() I can't understand why other podcast apps don't steal these ideas, but right now its the only one with many of them and its great. PocketCasts is just the simple, easy, and deeply customizable app that has many good ideas. That also means not needing to hunt through menus for what I need. Basically you can customize the menus to show you only the most common actions (sleep timer, share, mark-as-played) by default and hide the other ones you rarely use. I also find a customized Actions bar in the player is great. My skip forward is set to 30 seconds and my skip back is 15 seconds (you can customize this to your liking), so I can usually perfectly nail a skip over ads and can always go back more slowly if I missed something in the cast proper. Most podcast/audio ads are cut to adhere to a clock, so they're usually 20, 30 or 60 seconds long. So, for example I know every time I listen to the NYTime's The Daily, it'll always play at at 1.5x speed, and trim silence.Ĭustomizing the skip back/forward time length is also great. And you can customize this for every different show you listen to. Or putting a very slow podcast to always play back at 1.5 speed and trim silences. Especially for ones I listen to often, programming the app to skip the first however many seconds of intro/music and get right to the cast proper is ideal. I find the biggest perks for the app are being able to customize the settings for each podcast. You don't have to go through an inane amount of sub-screens to get to a podcast, an episode, etc. Its default way of organizing, arranging and displaying podcasts is what Apple used to have before the fucked up the design with an iOS update years ago. ![]() The biggest reason to switch, for me, is because PocketCasts just makes sense. ![]() This is someone who happily paid the $5 for the app and don't mind at all that its free now. With the features that are available on Cura and Slic3r today, I would be hard-pressed to hand over $150 to gain access to Simplif圓D. At the time, Simplif圓D was leaps and bounds ahead of all the freeware, and I honestly have not looked back since making the switch until I started writing this post. The clean user interface and rich features far outweighed the license fee. ![]() Back in 2015, when I started taking 3D printing seriously (maybe a little too seriously), I switched from Slic3r to Simplif圓D. The three biggest Slicers currently available are Simplif圓D, Cura, and Slic3r, with the last two being free. When you are building a 3D, you will have to choose a slicer that will work best with your 3D printer design. The Slicer of choice for most people is whatever was recommended with the 3D printer that they bought or whatever was on the computer at their local makerspace. If you have had any previous experience with 3D printing, then I expect you already knew the role of the Slicer. I don’t have the space or technical know-how to fully explain, this numerical control programming language, but basically, G code consists mostly of coordinates that the printer’s microcontroller uses to know where and when to extrude filament. The program then converts these slicers or layers into G code. The Slicer cuts up 3D objects from CAD programs into slices that approximate the original part. Perhaps you have already deduced where “Slicer” comes from. Higher resolution prints can be achieved by decreasing the layer height, which allows the original object to be divided into a higher number of layers, retaining more detail. Printed objects are approximated by stacking 2D layers that have a set thickness known as the layer height (Figure 1). Fused filament fabrication and almost all other 3D printing technologies utilize a layer-by-layer approach. ![]() If we take a closer look at how a 3D printer works we can understand why these programs are called Slicers. ![]() There are a couple of intermediate steps that are handled by a program known as a Slicer. A 3D model that was created on a Computer Aided Design (CAD) program, like Fusion 360 or Solidworks, cannot be sent directly to your 3D printer. ![]() Packaged here to make your shopping experience effective and FUN, pick what you think you'll need now, you can upgrade and drop items as you wish, though we recommend taking this as is if you're not sure!
